Marvel Studios has announced today that the trailer for The Avengers, the one showcased at the D23 expo about two months ago, will be released to the public and online on Tuesday, October 11th.

With NY Comic Con this weekend, there’s a chance there could be a screening of the trailer there as well. However, signs currently don’t point to it, so it’s best to rely on the Tuesday release date more.

We’ll have the trailer, when it’s available, on Tuesday right here on Film Thrasher.

The Avengers will be released May 4th, 2012.
